Some fans are suggesting we should play a second team in our FA Cup 3rd round tie against Arsenal. This depresses me; if you don’t think a cup game at the Emirates is important then you have some mixed up priorities. Man United 1 Spurs 2
A great win for Spurs, albeit we were a bit lucky to hold on at the end.
- This game was almost a mirror image of our performances at home earlier in the season; losing the possession battle but looking the most likely to score.

Sherwood in
So Tim Sherwood is the new permanent Head Coach at Spurs. It wasn’t much of a surprise that he was given the job, with the lack of obvious candidates available to step in at such short notice. What is more surprising is that he has been given the position on a permanent basis, or at least on an 18 month contract.
AVB out
I was very upset to see AVB go. I had really hoped it would work out for him, but in the end even I had to admit that his departure was inevitable. I was at the Liverpool game. It wasn’t the tactics, the team selection or the result that finally did for him, it was the lack of fight left in the players.
