After Spurs’ best performance of the season against Stoke the temptation would be to play an unchanged side against United. However with Paulinho’s injury (probably our best player in that game) this isn’t possible. Furthermore, it may be sensible to play a more cautious lineup away at the defending champions.

Kyle Walker should return at right back after suspension so my team would be:

Lloris
Walker Dawson Chiriches Fryers (or Rose if fit)
Lennon Dembele Bentaleb Eriksen
Adebayor Soldado

To make this work Eriksen must tuck in and Adebayor drop back when we are defending, otherwise we risk getting overrun in midfield. If this starts happening I would swap Chadli or Lamela for a striker and play Eriksen off the front man.

The key could be Aron Lennon. He is currently in good form and in the past he has been very effective against Evra, so our game plan should be to get the ball to him as much as possible.
