Spurs finished the season with a well earned win, leaving them a creditable fifth. Not as many points as last year but a higher placed finish. It felt better too.

After conceding 15 goals in our last three meetings with Manchester City, this was certainly an improvement. Not only did we restrict our opponents to one goal, we were somewhat unlucky to finish up losing.

This was not how it as supposed to be. Tim Sherwood returned to White Hart Lane and left with three valuable points in Villa’s bid for Premier League survival, while Mauricio Pochettino was left regretting another missed opportunity.
