Wow!
Finally a thrashing we were on the right end of. A moment of catharsis after a frustrating season. Four goals and a win away to blow away the gloom. Something all of us Spurs fans can enjoy. We needed that.
Spurs earned a vital win against rivals Everton but unfortunately the performance didn’t match the result. Should a manager be judged on how well the team played or the result? Of course, against a top six rival getting the three points is paramount and Sherwood has to be commended on this. There are however some questions to be raised.

Loans are a useful addition to the transfer system. They allow promising young players to gain experience. They help rejuvenate footballers stagnating at the wrong club. They enable cash strapped teams to add extra players without paying exorbitant transfer fees.
Unfortunately this system is being abused.
The transfer window has finally shut and attention turns back to the actual football. Spurs travel to Hull in what for us is a rare Saturday 3pm kick off.
This game sees us face former Spurs’ midfielder Tom Huddlestone who has impressed since moving to Yorkshire, it will be interesting to see how he fairs today. Jake Livermore however must sit this one out as he is on loan from Tottenham.
Spurs face Manchester City this Wednesday in a repeat of the 6 – 0 thrashing at the Etihad, part of a trio of bad results that made AVB’s position untenable. Numerically this was our worst defeat of the season but of the three thrashings this was easily the most understandable. City have been unstoppable at home and boast a 100% record, scoring 42 goals along the way. The average opponent has lost 3.8 – 0.7 .
