Finally Spurs addressed the biggest weakness in their squad by completing the signing of left back Ben Davies, from Swansea. Davies is not a marauding full back in the mould of Luke Shaw – he’s unlikely to be the next Gareth Bale – but he is a competent defender with perhaps better positional discipline than his more illustrious peers.
