Dawson says his goodbyes, but is Fazio a good replacement?

It looks like Michael Dawson may be finally on his way out of Spurs after more than nine years at the club. Sky report the defender is set to have a medical at Hull ahead of a permanent move to the Yorkshire club. He has been a great servant to Tottenham and it will be very sad to see him go.

This was everything Spurs’ fans had hoped for from our new manager, an awesome display of football the Pochettino way.

Last week the new Tottenham boss set about putting right last season’s wrongs, gaining some revenge for our three defeats to West Ham. Here he laid to rest another White Hart Lane ghost, as his side destroyed former Spurs manager, Harry Redknapp’s QPR.

Poll results – Spurs fans view the new season with optimism

I polled readers before the start of the season, to find out Spurs fans expectations for the new campaign. Thanks to the 628 who participated.

The results inidicate supporters are optimistic about the team’s chances – over 92.5% of those who took part think Tottenham will achieve the same place or better than last season.

West Ham 0 Spurs 1 – Tottenham struggle to finally beat West Ham

The young striker drops deep as Spurs break, pulling the centre back out of position. He plays a beautiful, defence splitting through ball to an onrushing teammate, who is making a clever overlapping run. The teammate, another youth prospect, showing admirable composure, rounds the keeper and scores.

This is what we were sold – football the Pochettino way. Unfortunately for 93 minutes the football was anything but.
